Day 04
This morning, we woke up bright and early for a meeting with Steve Latham in the Palais area. He gave a lot of tips and advice on what to expect from the festival. Afterward, I went back to the hotel to grab something to eat. One thing I didn’t expect was how hungry I would get in the morning in France. I usually don’t eat breakfast, but I think the heat, combined with all the heavy touring, wreaked havoc on my body. I went back to sleep after not being able to sleep the night before. I have insomnia, and I had not brought anything to help me sleep. In retrospect, I should have come prepared for those nights because it screwed with my sleep patterns a lot. After I woke up from a nap, I went and got something to eat. I then reorganized my entire suitcase to find a fun outfit for dinner. Tonight, Ella, John, Summer, Carson, and I decided to get dinner at The Grill in Antibes. My parents had just gone the night before and said it was beautiful. They were right. The sky was beautiful, the water was calm, and everyone was happy. The dinner was a great way to relax and get ready for the long day tomorrow. We even saw people who spoke at the festival later in the week.
